Corporations

Corporations are inherently schizophrenic. R&D always wants more money, and is constantly complaining that Marketing is ruining its products. Accounting is constantly telling R&D to quit whining and make do with what it has, or it will find its budget slashed so low it won't even be able to afford a drawing board. Legal is suing everyone in sight for patent, trademark and copyright violations. And the CEO is screaming at marketing and R&D to play nice or they'll be separated. In any institution that big, there will be contradictory viewpoints and departments working at cross-purposes.

Corporations

Corporations are inherently schizophrenic. R&D always needs cash, Accounting usually wants to fire half the workforce even when they're doing fantastic, and tells R&D to make do with what they've got, or they'll see their budget cut so far down they won't even be able to afford a drawing board.
